Well I can tell you what it's not. It's not a cat, dog, mouse or anything you have heard of before. In fact it's brand new and is taking the toy market by storm, the most popular toy (actually a series of toys) that will be the next furby, Wii, Elmo, cabbage patch kid.
The thing I'm talking about is the sensational new interactive toy that kids (and parents) just love, the Go Go Hamsters by Zhu Zhu. Since it's introduction the go go hamster has become an instant top seller. So just what is the appeal of a toy hamster?
The go go pets hamster was designed to mimic as close as possible the actual movements and sounds of a real hamster. In additon they are soft, cuddly so cute and are absolutely adorable. When you pick one up they have an instant "bonding" effect to the holder. You can pet the gogo hamster and it makes a cool chirping sound when you pet the hamster on it's back.
Place it on the ground and touch the "explore" button and it scoots around twisting and turning and if it bumps into anything will turn and go in an another direction. That is just the begining, you can build a mega complex play habitat that includes tunnels, a hamster wheel, a hamster garage, sleeping dome and even carry around "hamster blankets."
So the big question is are the go go pets worth the money? The answer is yes. The go go pet hamsters start at about $23 each, there are four of them, named Mr Squiggles, Numums, Chunk and the infamous Pipsqueak. All of which seem to have their own character.
Parents love them because of there is no mess to clean up and no feeding (except the occasional battery that needs replacing). The Go Go hamster is not the real thing but none the less they are just what people need these days something to feel good about with a generous sprinkling of happiness, the Go Go pets deliver all of that in abundance.
